Is there a need for a new cruising magazine? Probably not. However, I have decided to make one anyway. To work, it needs to be different from those currently on offer. Therefore, I need to find a way of making it distinct.
Cruisez is, first and foremost, independent of any travel agency or cruise line. However, to survive, Cruisez will publish cruise deals from individual agents and cruise lines for a small fee. Come on, I need to earn something, or the wife will have me washing up again at her preschool. Mind you, less hassle.
Here we go again, you might be thinking. Another marketing agency pretending to be something when, in fact, it is merely here to make money. OK, I have run a search engine optimisation company before and have some marketing experience. However, I have sold cruises as well. I was the second person to join Planet Cruise when it was started by Gary & Jenny West many moons ago. I left there to start my SEO business.
You are now thinking, how did I do a full circle and move back from SEO and into cruising? OK, perhaps you are not, but I’ll tell you anyway. I got fed up dealing with clients who had been let down previously by other unscrupulous people. I couldn’t charge them and ended up busy, doing lots of work for no money.
With the birth of my first granddaughter in April 2019, I gave up my business to look after her while her parents worked. After doing the same with number two, I am now ready to move on—with Cruisez.
The name Cruisez is a registered trademark I own, and I have owned the UK-based domain names for several years. I thought it was time to put these to use, and hey presto, Cruisez is now a working project. That should be read in the product development phase.
By charging a small fee, I will not need to work elsewhere, which means I can look after the girls when needed. So the family will benefit from this small project; if I can get it working. Please bear that in mind if you return and I haven’t updated anything since your previous visit. I might have been busy changing nappies or similar. OK, they are now out of nappies but still need work.
