Introducing Borealis

The Borealis joined Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ fleet was back in 2020, keeping good company with her sister ship, Bolette. This isn’t your typical mega-ship experience—she’s built for slipping through waterways the big ships can’t touch, showing off jaw-dropping scenery and historical treasures as she goes. After a sprucing-up when she came aboard, Borealis now flaunts a mix of elegant lounges, cosy bars, and deck spaces that actually let you stretch out. From January 2026, she’ll be strictly adults-only, setting the stage for some proper peace and quiet at sea.

Borealis Cabins

On Borealis, the cabins cater to all sorts—whether you’re after something simple or fancying a bit of luxury. From snug inside cabins to sprawling suites, there’s a space to suit every taste (and budget). Splash out on a suite, and you’ll be treated to the Suite Dreams package: priority check-in and a bottle of fizz to kick things off right. There are also adapted cabins on board so that everyone can cruise in comfort.

If you’re here for the food (and who isn’t?), Borealis has you covered. The Aurora and Borealis Restaurants dish up a new menu each day—think hearty steaks, fresh seafood, and bread baked on board. Plus, there’s the “Treats of the Region” menu, where you can eat your way around the destinations without leaving your table.

Fancy something a bit posher? Head to one of the speciality restaurants. At Colours & Tastes, modern Asian dishes are served in a sleek setting that will spoil your taste buds. Meanwhile, Vasco brings the zing of Goan cooking to the table, with fragrant curries, fresh seafood, and naan bread still warm from the oven. Reservations are a must for these spots—and worth every bit of planning.

When it’s time to kick back, Borealis knows how to deliver. Her bars and lounges range from lively to laid-back, so you’ll always find your vibe:
