Ports of Call
Cruise from Southampton
- Cádiz (tours to Seville): Atlantic light, salt air and narrow lanes. Wander the old town and market, or head inland to Seville for its cathedral and Alcázar. Both options give you grand squares and warm, walkable streets.
- Barcelona: A lively waterfront and Gaudí’s curves. See Sagrada Família, stroll La Rambla to the harbour, or graze your way through La Boqueria. The city rewards simple roaming between plazas.
- La Seyne-sur-Mer: A Var coast gateway close to Toulon. Walk the bridges and fort, hop to Toulon’s harbour, or take a quiet beach hour. It’s a gentler slice of southern France.
- La Spezia (tours to Florence/Pisa): Navy harbour with easy rail links. Ride to Cinque Terre, or go further for Florence’s galleries and Pisa’s Leaning Tower. Choices range from cliff paths to Renaissance art.
- Civitavecchia (tours to Rome): Functional port for the Eternal City. Take a train to Rome to visit the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, or stay local to explore a fort and the seafront. Either way, expect a full camera roll.
- Alicante: Palm-lined promenades and a hilltop castle. Take the lift to Santa Bárbara, wander the Explanada, or pause on Postiguet beach. Simple, bright and easy-going.
