Ports of Call
Cruise from Southampton
- Santa Cruz (Tenerife): Santa Cruz is Tenerife’s capital, with parks, shops and access to island scenery. Visit García Sanabria Park, see the Auditorio de Tenerife, or head inland for volcanic views. It works well as an Atlantic stop before the longer crossing.
- St. John’s (Antigua) (Overnight onboard): St. John’s is Antigua’s colourful capital, with beaches and harbour life close by. Visit Nelson’s Dockyard, relax on a sandy beach, or browse the shops near Heritage Quay. The overnight stay gives more time for the island beyond a standard day call.
- Philipsburg (St. Maarten): Philipsburg sits between a long beach and a compact shopping area. Walk the boardwalk, visit Great Bay Beach, or take a trip across the island for French and Dutch influences. It is an easy port for a relaxed Caribbean day.
- Basseterre (St. Kitts): Basseterre has colonial buildings, mountain views and access to old plantation sites. Visit Brimstone Hill Fortress, take the scenic railway, or spend time by the coast. It offers a mix of history and island scenery.
- Castries (St. Lucia): Castries is the main port for St. Lucia, with markets and trips to the island’s greener interior. Visit the cathedral, browse local stalls, or head out for views of the Pitons and botanical gardens. It is a useful base for seeing one of the Caribbean’s most scenic islands.
- Port Elizabeth (St. Vincent): Port Elizabeth is a small harbour on Bequia, part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Walk along the waterfront, visit Princess Margaret Beach, or take a boat trip around the coast. It offers a quieter island call with a slower pace.
- St. George’s (Grenada): St. George’s is set around a curved harbour with hills, forts and colourful streets. Visit Fort George, browse the spice market, or take a trip to Grand Anse Beach. It adds spice-island character and good views from ashore.
- Bridgetown (Barbados): Bridgetown combines Caribbean beaches, colonial history and a busy harbour setting. Visit the Garrison area, relax on Carlisle Bay, or explore local shops and cafés. It is a familiar and practical Caribbean call with plenty of shore options.
- Funchal (Madeira): Funchal brings the voyage back across the Atlantic with gardens, hills and sea views. Ride the cable car to Monte, visit the old town, or explore the market and waterfront. It is a useful final island stop before the return to Southampton.
