Cruise from Southampton
- Funchal (Madeira) (Overnight onboard): Madeira’s capital offers waterfront walks, the Old Town and gardens above the harbour. Take the cable car to Monte for views across the bay and visit Monte Palace Tropical Garden. The overnight stay allows more time to explore Funchal and the surrounding island.
- Santa Cruz de La Palma (La Palma): Explore the historic centre, with its cobbled streets, traditional wooden balconies and Plaza de España. The waterfront is close to the town’s shops and cafés. Excursions inland reveal the island’s volcanic landscapes and forested mountains.
- Las Palmas (Gran Canaria): Explore Vegueta, the historic quarter, with its cathedral, traditional streets and Casa de Colón museum. Las Canteras offers a long sandy beach and seafront promenade. The city combines historic sights with an easy coastal visit.
- Arrecife (Lanzarote): Lanzarote’s capital has a pleasant waterfront, the Charco de San Ginés lagoon and the historic Castillo de San Gabriel. Playa del Reducto provides a sandy beach close to the town. Island excursions can take visitors to the volcanic landscapes of Timanfaya National Park.
- Cadiz: Explore one of Spain’s oldest coastal cities, with narrow streets, lively squares and a cathedral overlooking the waterfront. Walk towards La Caleta beach or visit the central market. Seville is an option for a longer organised excursion inland.
- Lisbon: Portugal’s capital offers historic neighbourhoods, tiled buildings and viewpoints overlooking the Tagus. Explore Alfama and Baixa or visit Belém for its riverside monuments and famous pastries. Trams and waterfront walks provide different ways to discover the city.
