Cruise from Southampton
- Funchal (Madeira): Discover Funchal’s historic old town, with its narrow streets, painted doors and waterfront restaurants. Visit the Mercado dos Lavradores market or take the cable car towards Monte for views across the city and harbour. The capital also provides opportunities to explore Madeira’s gardens and surrounding landscapes.
- Las Palmas (Gran Canaria): Explore Vegueta, the historic centre of Las Palmas, where the Cathedral of Santa Ana and traditional squares reflect the city’s past. The neighbouring Triana district contains shops, cafés and historic buildings, while Las Canteras beach offers an extensive seafront promenade.
- Arrecife (Lanzarote): Walk around Charco de San Ginés, a sheltered lagoon lined with traditional buildings, fishing boats and restaurants. The Castillo de San Gabriel recalls Arrecife’s maritime history, while excursions inland reveal Lanzarote’s volcanic landscapes and distinctive architecture.
- Cadiz: Wander through the narrow streets and historic squares of Cádiz, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Visit the cathedral, climb the Torre Tavira watchtower for views across the rooftops or explore the seafront towards the Castillo de San Sebastián. Excursions may also visit Seville.
- Lisbon: Discover Alfama’s narrow streets, tiled buildings and viewpoints overlooking the Tagus River. Praça do Comércio provides a grand waterfront setting, while the Belém district contains the Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower. An overnight stay allows additional time to explore Lisbon’s neighbourhoods, restaurants and evening atmosphere.
