Cruise from Southampton
- Edinburgh (South Queensferry): Tender/berth for Scotland’s capital beneath the Forth bridges. Ride into the city for the Royal Mile and Castle, walk the Water of Leith, or visit the National Galleries. Views of the rail bridge are a bonus.
- Sandnes: Near Stavanger with easy rail links. Stroll Langgata pedestrian street, visit the Science Factory museum, or take a short hike on the local hills. It’s a simple, low-key stop with good connections.
- Haugesund: North Sea town tied to Viking history. See Haraldshaugen monument, walk the Karmsundet waterfront, or hop to idyllic Avaldsnes. The setting mixes coast, islands and channels.
- Kristiansand (Norway): Beaches, fort and a neat grid of streets. Explore the old quarter, visit the fisheries wharf, or take a boat to the skerries. It’s an easy day on foot.
