- Ponta Delgada (Azores) (Overnight onboard): Green hills and black-lava streets frame a calm harbour. Visit Sete Cidades or the pineapple glasshouses by day, then stroll the marina in the evening. The overnight makes time for an unhurried soak in hot springs ashore.
- Funchal (Madeira): Steep streets, gardens and Atlantic views. Ride the cable car to Monte and walk back through the old lanes, or sample Madeira in a lodge. It’s a gentle, scenic day.
- Lisbon: Riverwide views and tiled façades. Take Tram 28, explore Belém’s monuments, or linger in the Time Out Market. Easy to navigate with plenty of stops for a pastel de nata.
- Vigo (tours to Santiago de Compostela): Galician seafood and broad bays. Stay local for oysters by the port, or take the pilgrimage-style run to Santiago’s grand cathedral. Both options feel rewarding.
