Ports of Call
Cruise from Southampton
- Lisbon: Lisbon rises from the Tagus with tiled streets, viewpoints and old tram routes. Visit Belém Tower, explore Alfama, or stop for a pastel de nata near the city centre. It is a strong first port with history, food and river views close together.
- Funchal (Madeira): Funchal has gardens, sea views and steep hills above the harbour. Visit the Botanical Garden, ride the cable car to Monte, or browse the old town and market. It gives the cruise a warmer Atlantic stop with plenty of easy shore options.
- Santa Cruz (Tenerife): Santa Cruz is Tenerife’s capital and a useful base for island exploring. Walk through García Sanabria Park, visit the Auditorio de Tenerife, or take a trip inland for volcanic scenery. It adds variety with city sights and mountain routes.
- Las Palmas (Gran Canaria): Las Palmas combines beach, old streets and island culture. Visit Vegueta, see Casa de Colón, or walk along Las Canteras beach. It offers a balanced port day with history and the coast within reach.
- Arrecife (Lanzarote): Arrecife is a low-key port with volcanic landscapes nearby. Visit Timanfaya National Park, see César Manrique’s island sites, or walk around the waterfront and Charco de San Ginés. It is a good call for seeing Lanzarote’s dry, black-rock scenery.
