Hellesylt is a small village in Norway, set at the head of Sunnylvsfjorden and often linked with scenic sailings towards Geirangerfjord. It is known for Hellesyltfossen, the waterfall that runs through the village close to the cruise landing area. For many cruise visitors, Hellesylt is used as a starting point for overland excursions through valleys, lakes and mountain scenery before rejoining the ship elsewhere. Those staying nearby can take a short walk around the village, see the church and enjoy views over the fjord. It is a compact call, but the setting does the heavy lifting.
