Cruise from Southampton
- Santander: A bright bay city with beaches close to the centre. Stroll the Paseo de Pereda and the Magdalena Peninsula, or visit the Centro Botín. Fresh seafood and sea air set the tone.
- Lisbon (Overnight onboard): Hills, viewpoints and river light. Ride a tram to Alfama, explore Belém’s monastery and tower, then find fado after dark. The overnight stay gives time to linger.
- Leixoes (tours to Porto): Easy hop to Porto’s tiled churches and riverfront. Cross the Dom Luís I Bridge, taste port in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, and wander Ribeira. Compact and characterful.
- Vigo: Galician port with an old quarter and seafood market. Climb to Castro Fortress for views over the Ría de Vigo, or ferry to the Cíes Islands when available. Simple pleasures done well.
- Cherbourg: Naval heritage and a handsome harbour. Visit Cité de la Mer, browse the market streets, or walk the quays—a relaxed French finale.
